A Tribute

 William E. Prince

Past Fire Chief Bill Prince passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 after a short battle with heart complications.  He joined the Fellows' Club Vol. Fire Department in 1966 following his father's footsteps.  He held many elected offices over the years including: 1971 Vice President, 1974 Director, 1975 & 1978 President, and Captain & Assistant Fire Chief for several years.  He was elected Fire Chief in 1979, 1981 to 1990 & 1992 for twelve years.

The Fire Department was a family affair for Bill with his father, mother, brother, sister, and two sons all being very active in the department over the past years.  He also was involved with the Crawford and Venango Counties Fire School Committee for eighteen years, ten of which as the Director.  He also served on the Conneautville Borough Council.

He will be greatly missed by the emergency services community for his leadership and his on-going commitment to training.
